Announcing: Five New Titles in the Apologetics Press Tract Series
by Bert Thompson, Ph.D.

Through the years, as the work at Apologetics Press has grown, we have striven to introduce products that could be used to proclaim and defend the Gospel in a wide variety of instructional settings. We realized early on that a product which might be useful for one particular purpose might not be adequate for another. Thus, we determined to offer a repertoire of materials from which our readers and customers could choose in order to meet their individual needs.

Few of our products have proven to be as popular a teaching tool, however, as the Apologetics Press Tract Series. As we began our work, we recognized that there was a dearth of tracts dealing with apologetics-related subjects. We therefore made it our goal to produce an entire tract series devoted to topics related to Christian apologetics and Christian evidences.

TractOriginally, the tract series contained only a few titles, each of which was printed in a single-color format. Today, however, the situation is much improved. First, we now have over 80 tracts in print. Second, the entire series is published using an attractive two-color format, with each tract being printed on an eye-catching, speckled, recycled paper that adds a lot of “class” to the finished product. Third, each of the tracts has been typeset in an elegant type style that is both easy to read and pleasing to the eye. References have been placed at the end of each tract (following the format of Reason & Revelation), which makes for an easier “flow” of the subject matter. Division headings are included in bold print to help the reader more easily follow the topic being discussed. Quotations are indented, in order to set them off from the main body of the text and help them remain easily identifiable. And fourth, we make it a point to print the tracts in small quantities so that as we have to reprint them, each one can go through a comprehensive editing process to ensure that the entire series contains current, relevant material. We constantly revise the text of the tracts to keep them fresh and up to date.

As a result, we believe each offering in the Apologetics Press Tract Series is one of which our subscribers and customers can be justifiably proud. These tracts are valuable-yet-inexpensive teaching aids that can be stuffed in envelopes with payments of bills each month, given to a friend you are trying to reach with the Gospel, left behind with someone in a hospital or convalescent home, handed out to visitors of booths at local fairs, displayed in the foyers of church buildings, etc.

As of this month, we have added five brand new titles as follows: Man—“Image of God” or “The Naked Ape,” and Evolutionary Fossil Errors (both by Brad Harrub, Eric Lyons, and Bert Thompson); Human Cloning: The Christian’s Response and Stem-Cell Research: Science’s “Slippery Slope” (both by Brad Harrub and Bert Thompson); and The Origin of Human Blood Types (by Brad Harrub). We currently are working on several additional tracts that will be added to the series in the coming months (we will alert you to their availability as soon as they are published). In fact, we hope to have over 100 tracts available in the series by the close of 2002 if all goes well. [I might add that we also have five of our tracts available in the Russian language for use in countries where Russian is the preferred language.]

In keeping with our goal of making available materials that are as affordable as possible, we have priced the tracts at only 10¢ each, $9 per 100, or $80 per 1,000 (titles may be mixed to achieve the best pricing). A sample pack containing one each of the A.P. tracts is available for $7.50. An up-to-date listing of all titles will be published in our new 2002 catalog (which we hope to mail in early March). You also may phone our offices toll free at 800/234-8558, or visit our Web site at If we may be of assistance to you with tracts, or any of our other products and services, please let us know and we will be happy to help. We are here to serve, and genuinely appreciate your interest in our work.
